SETPRO's "innaugural"
APAS (Areiel Performance Analysis
System) was conducted on Sunday in preparation for the BIG
TEST yesterday (12/18/01).
Five pitchers
participated. John Cronin, Alex Jacobine, Sean Metzinger,
Tim Rice, and Eric Thomas.
John and
Tim attend/play for University of Richmond, Alex plays for
Washington College in Delaware, Eric, The University of South
Alabama ("Gonzo" Gonzales, Arizona Diamond Backs,
John Lieber Cubs, are a few "alums" who played there)
and Sean Metzinger is a Junior at Maidison HS, Madison CT.
All arenot
really in "pitching shape" yet. Eric and Tim had
lifted heavy the day before and were still stiff.
John and
Alex are both outfielders and pitchers and had not thrown
agressively in several weeks.
Sean has
been working out regularly at THE STRIKE ZONE (my home "away
from home")
Eric,
Tim and John all threw 90+ MPH. Eric hit 94 several times,
Tim 92 and John 91.
Sean hit
a personal best 84 MPH (not bad for someone who was at 77-78
about 6 weeks ago).
The main
goal of the day was to gather data (simultaneous filming using
3 cameras) on their deliveries for analysis in the PPV (Pay
Per View) Forum.
